Where can I sell a used diesel compressor?

You can sell a used diesel compressor through plant auctions, online machinery marketplaces, plant dealers or directly to a specialist buyer. Selling directly is usually fastest: you send the make, model, hours and photos, get a price, and the buyer collects. There are no auction fees, listing costs or waiting for a sale day.

How much is a used diesel compressor worth?

The price depends on a combination of things:

  • Engine hours: the single biggest factor. Read the hour meter on the control panel.
  • Output (cfm and bar): popular breaker and tool sizes are always in demand.
  • Engine emissions stage: newer engines that meet current emissions standards are easier to resell in the UK and Europe.
  • Chassis and bodywork: brakes, lights, tyres, hitch and canopy condition all matter for road-tow units.
  • Service history: regular servicing and clean oil make a real difference.
  • Running condition: starts easily, builds pressure and holds it without warning lights.

Fleets of the same model are often worth more per unit, because they're easier to resell as a batch.

Diesel compressor FAQs

Do you buy diesel compressors with high hours?

Yes. High-hour units can still be worth buying, especially well-known models with good service history. Hours affect the price, but they don't rule a unit out.

Do you buy non-running compressors?

Yes. Non-running units are priced for repair or parts. Tell us what the fault is if you know.

Can you collect from a construction site?

Yes. We can collect from sites, yards and depots, as long as there's safe access for our vehicle.

Do I need to service the compressor before selling?

No. Sell it as it is. Just be honest about its condition and any known faults.

Do you buy breakers and hoses with the compressor?

Yes, we can include breakers, hoses and attachments in the offer.
